Explore the Carnival Celebration with Me

I had the pleasure of accompanying the fabulous Ms. Jenifer Breaux on a Caribbean cruise with Carnival Cruise line.  Our journey took us to three tropical paradises: Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic, the colorful streets of San Juan in Puerto Rico, and the enchanting Charlotte Amalie in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands.

I have friends in Miami, so I was lucky enough that they picked me up from the airport and then took Jenifer and I to the restaurant Chotto Matte which was fabulous.

Boarding the ship was easy and traveling with Jenifer made it easier.  We found our room and started exploring the fabulous ship.

Amber Cove, Dominican Republic

Our first port of call was the dazzling Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic. A jewel nestled in the Caribbean, with lush greenery and crystal-clear waters. We took a bus tour which stopped at Isabel de Torres which sported a stunning view of the city.  We also saw a magnificent church at Parque Central Puerto Plaza.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Next on our nautical adventure was the historic San Juan, Puerto Rico. Stepping onto the colorful streets of Old San Juan was like entering a living postcard. Cobblestone streets, vibrant buildings, and the rhythmic beats of salsa music filled the air.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, USVI

Our final stop was the breathtaking Charlotte Amalie in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. As the ship docked, we were greeted by azure waters and lush hillsides. This was the favorite stop for me and I loved the day we spent in the most glorious beach-Magen’s Bay.

Carnival Fun Onboard

Beyond the incredible destinations, the Carnival cruise ship itself was a floating extravaganza. From mouthwatering cuisine, fun drinks, and a super roller coaster, the BOLT, that Jenifer and I had to try, the ship was a playground of excitement. Endless pools, thrilling water slides, and a spa for ultimate relaxation - Carnival truly knows how to pamper its guests.  I left with a complimentary hat representing the company’s logo:  a funnel shaped like a whale's tail, with a red, white, and blue color scheme.  My grandkids quickly absconded with it.

I would be remiss if I didn’t tell you about the cocktail parties the company threw.  They all had themes!

Sport Your Team: dressing in your team's colors or donning their jersey

Wig Out: Wigs of all colors, shapes, and sizes: a classic bob, neon-colored afro, or a wild, curly mane

Dress To Impress: This was the night to bring out our most elegant attire.

Decades Night: Roaring Twenties, the psychedelic '60s, or the vibrant '80s

Diamonds and Denim: striking the perfect balance between casual and chic. Picture a sea of denim paired with dazzling diamonds

Fedora Friday: fedoras, trilbies, and Panama hats

Red, White, and Blue: a tribute to the colors of our homeland.

I truly hope you will have the opportunity to travel with Carnival Cruise lines.  Their staff is excellent and I had a dream vacation I’ll never forget.  Bon Voyage!
